CACHE, Airplane disk:

This art disk uses a photograph from the Archives collection showing a ground to air image of an army XB-15 bomber flying near Spokane in 1939.  This is a rare image, in that the airplane is a “one off” prototype.  It was underpowered and never used as a bomber or in combat.  The sole example was renamed the XC-105, and served as a freight carrier in the Carribbian until it was scrapped in Panama in 1945.
