The artwork weather vanes and pinwheels in the wind. We involved many design and fabrication entities: Lin & Assoc provided structural engineering. ESCO Steel provided the stainless pipe, shaft and plate, and laser cut the struts. Jim Garrett formed the 4” diameter steel shaft. The shaft was also sent out for hardening and passivating. Joe Dube did all our welding. Puget Sound Coatings sandblasted and coated the shaft. Lindmark Machine Works provided all the machining. Carnetech formed the aluminum canopy pieces. Colortech powdercoated them red. Benson Shaw cast the urethane handle. Ness Crane Service gave us a lift during installation. Eric Berry and Joe Dube helped during installation.
